Beaver Bay Campground is a great place to stay if you’re looking for something a little off the beaten path. It’s only about half an hour from Duluth and can be reached without any major highways.

There are about 150 sites at Beaver Bay, and most of them are very spacious. You can reserve sites online in advance, but most of them are first come, first served. The campground has a ton of amenities, including a playground for kids, volleyball courts and horseshoe pits, a dog park, and hiking trails through the forest.
Beaver Bay is also home to some great restaurants and bars—and they’re all within walking distance! There are several places that serve food or drinks right on-site (including coffee shops), as well as some nearby options like The Pub or Café Lulu.
